Ashutosh Dutta, a member of the Johns Hopkins Institute for Assured Autonomy, is a 2022 recipient of the IEEE-USA George F. McClure Citation of Honor. This honor recognizes IEEE members who have made exemplary contributions toward securing recognition of professional activities in the United States. Dutta was selected for his “distinguished leadership in the development of the International Networks Generations Roadmap and bridging the gap between academia and industry.”
He is a lecturer in the Johns Hopkins University Information Security Institute, chair of the Johns Hopkins Engineering for Professionals program in electrical and computer engineering, and a senior scientist and chief 5G strategist at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. He also serves as a Lawrence L. Hafstad Fellow in ISI.
Dutta is also an IEEE Fellow, IEEE Communications Society Distinguished Lecturer, member-at-large of the IEEE Communications Society, and founding co-chair of IEEE Future Networks. He was named a 2021 Distinguished Member of the Association for Computing Machinery for “Outstanding Scientific Contributions to Computing.”
