James Curbo, chief scientist of the Constrained Cyber Solutions Group at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, recently defended his dissertation to earn his Doctor of Engineering with a focus on Cybersecurity for Space Systems from the Johns Hopkins University. His defense committee included James Bellingham, executive director of the Institute for Assured Autonomy (IAA), Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Exploration Robotics, and professor of mechanical engineering; IAA Co-Director Anton Dahbura; and Greg Falco, a former faculty member at Johns Hopkins.
Curbo’s defense presentation, “Cyber Resilient Spacecraft Flight Software,” looks at how cyber resilience can be engineered to be a crucial component of flight software.
