In July, a team of IAA researchers will present a workshop at the International Conference on Distributed, Ambient and Pervasive Interactions during the Human-Computer Interaction International conference in Copenhagen, Denmark. Cara LaPointe, IAA co-director; Sarah Rigsbee, lead human centered design strategist, and Alexis Basantis, human centered design strategist, will present the “Developing Culturally Competent Autonomous Systems through Human-Centered Design” workshop on July 25.

The workshop will bring experts together to share research and discuss future directions for the critical challenges of developing culturally competent AI-enabled and autonomous systems using human-centric methodologies.

Applications are being accepted through April 14. Additional details about the workshop and application process are available here: https://2023.hci.international/w7.html
